Alaska

Alaska is a state of the USA. It´s located in the very extreme northwest side of North America and in the west of Canada. The Alaskan flora is diverse and abundant. Especially are the populations of large mammals. So for example polar bears, wolf, moose as well as caribou. Due to the climate relatively little farming occurs here. Most of the farms are in Mat-Su Valley or on the Kenai Peninsula. Extemely short summer influences the types of crops. The most grown crops are potatoes, carrots, lettuce, as well as cabbage. Alaska has a great variety of seafood. Seafood is often cheaper within the state than outside. Most of the food is transported into Alaska from outside.
The tradition music influences Alaska. The other kinds of music comes from Russia or Europe. There are many music festivals in Alaska. The most prominent symphony is the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra. The Anchorage Opera is the state's only professional opera.
The most populare cities are Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau. Anchorage is the largest city of Alaska. There is the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum, the Science Discovery Center and the Oscar Anderson House Museum. In Fairbanks is the Alaskaland (a park who shows early Alaskan history).
