Last year I made a holiday in France and I want to tell you some things about the country, but also about it's culture and it's people.
The french Republic is a centralized state in western europe. It borders to other european countries and to the Atlantic and the Mediterrean Sea. The main part of France has an extent of 543.965 km² and the characteristic landscape are basically plains and hillocks, but there are also huge mountains, like the Pyrenees, the Massiv Central and the Alps. Based on it's shape France is also called L'Hexagon (sexangle). The most important and the biggest city of France is by far it's capital Paris. The region Ile-de-France has about 12 million inhabitants of which 14.000.000 live in the metropolitan area of Paris.
If you go to France you have to see the originalities of it's culture, which is quite different to the culture of other European coutries.
There are many National Parks in this country, and it offers a big proposal for every tourist. On the one hand you can visit the big cities and enjoy the citylife and on the other hand you can relax or make sports at the beaches on the atlantic coast or the coast of the Mediterrean Sea. There are also wonderful skiing regions, in which you can make interesting ski-runs.
