Italy is certainly one of the most magnificent countries in the world. Nowhere else you can see and feel history being still alive. It appears almost impossible to discover all highlights of Italy during only one single holiday period. The UNESCO reported that two thirds of the world`s historical artistic heritage are in Italy. To mention only a few, there are the historic centre of Rome, the historic centre of Florence, Venice and its Lagoon, the historic centre of Naples, the early Christian Monuments and Mosaics of Ravenna and the archaeological areas of Pompei, Ercolano and Torre Annunziata. But not only the historical and cultural highlights of Italy are worth watching, the landscape and the coast are beautiful as well. Located in the mediterranean Europe, Italy is surrounded by the Sardinian Sea and the Ionian Sea in the south and the Adriatic Sea in the east. Visiting Italy for holidays, you will find a great deal of variety in the landscape. In opposite to the warm and beautiful coast areas, you also can find two impressive mountain chains: the Apennines and the Alps. The Alps are including the famous Monte Blanc and the Matterhorn. All those places have a highly involved touristic infrastructure, and you will have absolutely no problems finding accommodation all year round. Just ask in any of your local tourist offices and they will offer you a great deal of nice hotels or apartments all year round.
