Japan - Country of the Rising Sun

I loved my trip to Japan this spring, it was really exciting. Japan is situated in the Pacific Ocean, just in front of the coasts of China, Russia and Corea.
The country consists of numerous islands which stretch along the East Coast of Asia. Japan is divided into eight regions, which is culturally and economically important. The climate of these regions differs highly, depending where they are situated geographically.

Japan has a population of more than 120 million people, most of whom are Buddhists. People speak japanese, which consits of various dialects. Apart from chinese characters (Kanji), the japanese language has their own way of lettering, which is called Hiragana and Katagana, and differs extremely from the European way of writing.
Education is highly important in Japan. Somebody who graduates from one of the best universities of the country, can be sure to have a very successful career.

As a tourist, there are a lot of things to see and experience in this country.
If you are planning to travel to Japan, there is not too much to consider in advance, apart from informing yourself about some of the cultural standards of Japan. For instance it is not necessary to receive any special inoculations and the country itself is one of the most secure places you can travel to. So enjoy your travel to Japan!
